Newhouse Academy – part of the Hollingworth Learning Trust – has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious PE teacher, looking to improve their employability by gaining valuable experience in teaching KS3 Mathematics at our academy from Summer term/September 2023.
Due to the rousing success of our current programme to train PE Teachers to become Maths and Science Teachers, we are looking for a great practitioner to teach Mathematics at Newhouse Academy.

Our Maths Department:
● P8 score for the department has improved by a grade since COVID as well as results above national averages from our fully staffed team.

● Bespoke curriculum created by our term to suit our people at the right level for them, with shared resources/lessons at every level.
● Our team are examples of the school's ethos of Our People, we enjoy where we work and who we work with, including various extra-curricular team bonding activities.
● The Maths department is a supportive and enjoyable department to work in.
● We offer weekly bespoke CPD, based on the needs and trends at the time.
● We have converted and trained a number of ECT's and Non-specialists.
● GCSE Further Mathematics & Statistics offered to students as blocked option time.
● Popular option choice amongst KS4 students which has helped add to our upward 5-year trend of results, hence the need to expand.

Newhouse Academy is delighted by the recent Ofsted report, which graded us as 'Good' for Leadership & management, Personal development and Behaviour & attitudes. We are a comprehensive secondary school and Part of the Hollingworth Learning Trust. The emphasis for the academy is 'Our People', where we have concentrated on simply just doing the right thing for our staff and students.
