Financial Controller | Chesterfield | £40,000 - £45,000

Client:


This role is a newly created position within the team to support an established Finance Director with the management of a small transactional team, preparing statutory and management reporting, as well as working the FD to prepare the forecast and annualbudget.


You'll play a key role in driving growth in the business by developing their KPI stack, enabling their Management to team to identify areas to drive sales.


Duties will Include:


  • Managing accounting operations including S/L, P/L, G/L, Stock, Cost Accounting
  • Managing a team of
  • Supporting FD with preparation of the forecast and annual budget
  • Preparing timely monthly management accounts for review including P&L, balance sheet, statement of cashflow with comparisons against budget
  • Assisting FD to establish efficiencies/cost base reductions
  • Coordinating the statutory reporting, involving working with appointed external auditors
  • Development of KPI deck
  • Organising the production of VAT returns
  • Organising the production of Funding/R&D Claims

Person:


  • QBE, Part-Qualified or Qualified individual with significant reporting experience


  • Strong Microsoft Excel

  • Pivots and VLOOKUPs minimum
  • Ideally you will have some form of management experience within an SME
  • System migration experience preferable
