    Role: Procurement Excellence Lead

    Location: London – hybrid working

    Salary: £60,000 – 70,000

    We have a great opportunity with one of our insurance clients as a Procurement Excellence Lead. You'll be part of a small Procurement team and have the chance to gain a wide variety of exposure not only in improving internal processes, capabilities and systems but also supporting sourcing projects and 3rd party risk.

    You'll be advising and guiding the team in rolling out and refining the procurement processes and ways of working across the business as the scope of the team increases from primarily being an IT based function to supporting the entirety of the business across the UK and Europe. You'll be the first point of contact for Procurement and Supplier Management queries so will be building relationships both internally and with key 3rd parties to ensure continuous improvement. Finally, you'll have responsibility for administration, process, and key Procurement technologies to support contractual relationships and contract management.

    The Role:

    • Initial point of contact for day-to-day Procurement activities, managing a variety of requests
    • Ensure a standardised P2P process is available and support in delivering against this
    • Providing best practice advice in identifying and delivering process improvements
    • Leading on P2P process support and ongoing optimisation of the end-to-end process
    • Utilise and develop key enabling technologies, e.g., contract management database
    • Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions to internal stakeholders
    • Coordinate risk assessments and due diligence of suppliers during onboarding and reviews
    • Support in the preparation and running of Supplier Relationship Management activities
    • Maintain timely and accurate data to support budget setting and enabling spend analytics
    • Create the MI and reporting packs for executive level QBR's
    • Work closely with finance to support prompt and accurate approvals
    • Ensure procurement collateral (Policy and Procedures) are up to date and readily available
    • Supporting Sourcing activities

    Experience needed:

    • Experience improving the full Procurement lifecycle and associated Policy, P2P processes and systems
    • Solid stakeholder management skills and able to liaise with stakeholders of all levels
    • Comfortable taking accountability for process and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Experience of Contract Management Systems
    • Familiar with professional services contracts and software agreements
    • Comfortable dealing with supplier queries and questions
    • Power BI reporting or advanced Excel skills

    Nice to have:

    • Understanding of the insurance market
    • Experience of Amazon Business and Marketplace
