    Description

    Seeking an Information Governance Compliance Officer, a detail-oriented professional who will ensure adherence to data protection and information governance principles within the organisation. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical skills, a solid understanding of information governance, and a keen awareness of data protection laws.

    Description

    The Information Governance Compliance Officer will be part of a leading IG team. They will report into the Head of Information Governance and will:

    • Monitor compliance with information governance and data protection principles.
    • Identify and address potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
    • Develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
    • Provide reports on a regular basis to keep senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
    • Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues for investigation and resolution.
    • Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
    • Maintain documentation of compliance activities.
    • Review and update the company's information governance and data protection policies.

    Profile

    A successful Information Governance Compliance Officer should have:

    • A degree in Law, IT, Data Protection, or a related field.
    • Demonstrable experience in information governance, data privacy and compliance roles.
    • Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
    • Available to start immediately.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in using MS Office Suite.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
