Description

It is accountable for the delivery of our data science models and analytical capability, specifically the design, build, testing and implementation of a series of propensity-based data modelling with a primary focus on discreet actions where we use data science to enable our analytical capability.

This will allow us to predict what will happen to our customer base in the future and deliver a better commercial result.


This role is responsible for creating and implementing a strategy with recommendations on short and mid-term plans that fuel our customer strategy, improve churn, retention, revenue growth and cross-sell penetration.


What you'll be doing

  • You will be responsible for the delivery of propensitybased data science models and analytical capability that allows us to answer key business questions
  • You will select and deploy the right visualisation methods and tools to demonstrate the return of investment of data science models to senior stakeholders
  • Measure and analyse the effectiveness of data science models to ensure they align to the delivery of key business objectives and metrics and that can be measured quantifiably
  • You will coach and develop any direct reports to maximise their capabilities and deliver strong performance outcomes and engagement
  • You will make sure all data science activity complies with all regulatory standards, including GDPR
  • You'll be leading and developing the data science strategy and team function, collaborating with the wider team to shape who and when we target each customer to deliver the best cross sell conversion

Experience

  • Significant experience (5 years) of working in a data science or analytical role
  • B2B market experience from one or more utility sectors
  • Experience of building and delivering successful data science models
  • Strong experience in working with marketing and sales teams to deliver a collaborative approach

Qualifications

  • 1. A-Level and/or degree in numerical discipline (Maths, Statistics, etc)
