Computing, at UCLan, is changing.

Now part of the newly formed School of Engineering and Computing, we are looking to expand on our established strengths in Software Engineering, Games/VR, HCI/UX and Cyber Security to increase our student/staff community and develop new opportunities in teaching and research.

Our ambition is to become a leading player in computing in the North-West region, recognised nationally for our teaching, knowledge exchange, industry engagement and research.

The University of Central Lancashire is a leading modern university located in the city of Preston, Lancashire.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in AI/ML who will contribute to, and lead in, our evolution and growth through contribution to academic delivery, research and knowledge exchange, with a strong recognition of success metrics, high academic quality and reputational integrity.

You will be a dynamic, enthusiastic academic with experience of working within a team environment, contributing to collective goals and supporting colleagues in achieving them.

As a balanced academic you should recognise the importance of high-quality student experience and teaching, alongside an emerging and accelerating research profile.

You will be seeking a position that supports your own ambitions for growth and professional development, with opportunities to lead in the further evolution of our computing offerings.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston. Depending on activity, you may also be required to visit, or work at, our Burnley campus. Work patterns may mean that weekend work is sometimes required.

UCLan is committed to providing a safe environment to study, work and visit, protecting children, young people and adults at risk from harm and abuse.

Our safeguarding policy and safer recruitment procedure outlines our approach, alongside other internal policies, procedures and guidance which can be found on our website at Safeguarding - UCLan
