In this role, you will have the chance to create and implement complete multi-category campaigns for Trade marketing activities across different channels (Key Accounts or Indirect).

Alongside with line management responsibilities, you will be accountable from concept to execution through to deployment to the field team


Your day to day:

  • Develop and implement effective brand building strategies for smokefree product categories, aiming to raise awareness, driving volume and engagement with target consumers, and driving retention across our trade partners.
  • Manage marketing activities across multiple channels, including key accounts, general trade, and the vape channel.
  • Develop marketing plans tailored to specific channels and oversee their successful execution, enhancing brand recognition and driving sales, through visiting the channel at least once a month ensuring plans align with current opportunities. Become the goto person and channel expert for your respective channel(s).
  • Collaborate with relevant commercial functions to boost sales volume in your channel, by establishing and accomplishing agreed performance goals and Joint Business Plans.
  • Develop trade marketing strategies across both online and offline channels, including direct interaction with channel to agree on annualised Joint Marketing and Activation Plans; working closely with brand teams to ensure impactful execution.
  • Manage the creation, prototyping, testing, and deployment of campaigns and activities across channels. Follow up with key stakeholders to fully evaluate, take onboard learnings and feedback to optimize future campaigns and activities across channels.
  • Distribute campaigns across all product portfolio and across omnichannels and drive volume through 3rd party customer digital platforms.
  • Proactively plan and create toolkits for field teams to use across categories and channels, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Deploy activities across channels in line with category plans, providing materials to each key account on time and in full.
  • Manage digital engagement content calendars for multiple touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with category teams and agencies to develop marketing collateral and pointofsale materials, trade promotions, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity.
  • Cultivate relationships with key partners and negotiate commercial opportunities by managing existing 3rd party contractual agreements.
  • Create and oversee marketing budgets for trade marketing initiatives, monitor the effectiveness of investments, and optimize budget distribution.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial teams and other key individuals to align marketing strategies with brand objectives. Provide guidance and support to ensure effective execution of trade marketing initiatives.
  • Develop performance indicators and measurements to evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives, monitor progress, and compile detailed reports.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to regulations and industry standards.
  • Leading and managing direct reports by setting team objectives with actions plans for tracking performance.
About you

  • Proven experience in trade marketing or related roles.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing direct reports.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to foster an environment of open communication and employee engagement.
  • Technical understanding and experience with POS solutions ranging from digital media to fixtures.
  • Ability to mutlitask and work in an agile environment.
You will be required to have the right to work in the UK to be considered for this role. Relocation support is not available for this position.
