Job Description

We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our small, but mighty, team. You will be responsible for playing a critical role in the successful operation of our core business by managing all data feeding into our trading strategies across various asset classes.

Over the past decade, we have built a best-in-class data pipeline that allows us to ingest, process and distribute data across the Investment Management department. You will be leveraging this data pipeline heavily in your day-to-day to carry out a number of important tasks, including:

• Understanding existing and new data products delivered by our data vendors and acting as a technical point of contact for them.
• Writing Python code to translate these data products into a format that can be easily used by our trading systems.
• Creating and maintaining automated tests to ensure that all data sets meet the high standards required by our quantitative strategies.
• Actively supporting the day-to-day operation of our data pipelines by troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues to ensure the timely delivery of data to our trading teams.
• The role also involves participating in team shift rotations, including out-of-hours on-call and early morning shifts.

Do you have what it takes?

• A strong academic background in computer science, statistics, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience working as a Data Engineer in a similar environment
• Proficiency in Python coding
• A deep understanding of data pipelines and data engineering best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
