    The role

    As a Offshore Trainee Inspection Engineer you will ensure required inspections take place by 1) testing, maintaining, calibrating and operating inspection equipment, 2) executing data recording (video, with audio commentary), 3) guiding of the ROV around subsea structures, 4) maintaining accurate and complete survey logs, 5) assisting where required in preparation and compilation of final inspection reports and, 6) assisting with the appropriate quality control of data and reports.

    Perform the role of an offshore inspection engineer by; providing support for all ROV online data recording inspection tasks, offline data editing, QC and taking ownership of the information acquired during all ROV vessel-based structural and pipeline and platform-based inspections. To provide feedback and recommendations to the offshore and onshore teams.

    You will work closely with the Inspection team (offshore), particularly the Inspection Coordinator, Inspection Engineers and ROV teams. Whilst offshore you should ensure successful completion of a variety of tasks and ensure any issues are resolved or highlighted to the Inspection Coordinator and senior Inspectors.

    Responsible for Showing project specific procedures and workscopes are followed. Ensure anomalies are identified during online and offline inspection tasks and that these are accurately recorded and reported to the Inspection Coordinators, Superintendent and clients in a timely manner determined by the magnitude of the finding.

    Who we're looking for:

    You will have the ability to identify any hardware and software issues and recommend improvements. Show awareness, understanding and control of all PC operating systems.

    Have a high attention to detail, the ability to seek out and bring to attention any training requirements, to Reporting Supervisor Lead. You will Promote team work at the worksite with all associated parties and ensure good communication lines between all.

    HND in Engineering or Information Technology.
