    Head of Criminology & Law

    Governors are seeking to appoint a dynamic and energetic specialist who seeks to inspire and enthuse students, and who can lead the development of our Law department.

    The qualities we are looking for:

    The ability to lead key stage 5 BTEC Applied Law and WJEC Applied Criminology courses

    Relevant experience of teaching law and delivering exam and coursework based qualifications

    Good subject knowledge particularly in negligence, fatal offences & property offences.

    Promote literacy and numeracy in all teaching and learning practices.

    To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential

    To monitor student progress and identify, encourage and reward success, as well as intervening appropriately where there are concerns.

    To take into account the differing ability of students and differentiate work accordingly.

    Be enthusiastic, dynamic, committed and well organised.

    The ability to contribute effectively to a team.
