KIDS FOOTWEAR DESIGNER

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Sketching and assigning light spec.

• Fabric, yarn and color identification and selection.

• Artwork development and detailing for vendor.

• You will have a strong aesthetic, great sense of design and color and an established understanding of the product development process.

• Support and have some oversight of the design and development of the seasonal sourced l and speed lab product lines.

• Familiarity with International fashion trends in KIDS FOOTWEAR design and licensed properties with a passion for great product and design.

• Will be an integral partner with merchandising, sourcing and product development teams to create a smooth transition between initial concepts and final products.

• Strong knowledge of trends, consumer insights, new opportunities, and competition.

• Unique insight into relevant market trends with a point of view on commercial viability of styles.

• Consumer focused mind-set with an understanding of needs and the translation into product insights.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in KIDS FOOTWEAR Design, Merchandising, or related field.

• 3-5 years professional experience as a designer required

• Portfolio of previous work required.

• Hands on computer aided software like Photoshop, Adobe In design and Illustrator; CorelDraw and awareness of the latest creative software programs (3D), techniques, and applications.

• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication both internally and externally.

• Must be results focused and highly detail oriented.

• Ability to create and execute in a deadline oriented environment.

• Must have strong organization skills or order to troubleshoot and manage multiple projects.
