    A dynamic and enthusiastic behaviour mentor is required to meet the needs of a secondary school in Harrow.

    The individual must have previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviours in order to be considered for the position.

    The role - Behaviour Mentor - Harrow


    In your role as a Behaviour Mentor, you work closely with students who have been identified as having challenging behaviour or who have SEMH needs in order to provide them with support.

    Working individually or in small groups may be appropriate depending on the needs of the identified students.

    Behaviour Mentors typically work in a small number of classrooms and support or lead interventions designed to support students in a variety of ways.

    Behaviour mentors are responsible for developing action plans and targets in collaboration with the class teacher. This means that the targets will be based on improving their behaviour as well as their academic performance.

    In an effort to improve pupils' self-esteem and confidence, providing direct support and working directly with them on the development of their self-esteem and confidence.

    Monitoring progress in improving behaviour and maintaining improvements already achieved is also essential.
