Trainee BIM/CAD Technician


An ambitious Trainee BIM CAD Technician is needed to join a growing company; an established CAD bureau which specializes in the production of fully engineered and co-ordinated building services models which satisfy the latest BIM requirements.

Must be keen to learn as this is a fantastic opportunity for a trainee CAD technician to join an established CAD bureau as part of a growing team with a combined experience of over 60 years in building services projects

  • Working under a senior coordinator engineer
  • Work in 2D surface modelling
  • Preparing end sheets for installation drawings
  • Modifying schematics and electrical layout drawings
  • This role will progress to producing drawings in 3D solid modelling

Person Specification:


  • IT literate with experience of using AutoCAD
  • A sound knowledge of engineering principals
  • An understanding of construction methods
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Able to work to deadlines

Additional Information:


  • Based in Leatherhead
- £22,000 - £24,000 (depending on experience)

  • Monday
  • Friday, 37.5 hours
  • 20 days holiday increasing annually to a maximum of 2 Company contribution pension 4%
