SEMH Teaching Assistant

GSL Education needs SEMH teaching assistant to work with pupils that have social and emotional mental health needs for a client school in Watford starting as soon as possible.

The main duties will include:

Supporting the pupils in their education through the schools own curriculum
Supporting the class teacher with recording attainment, behaviour plans and EHCP paperwork
Carrying out interventions in small groups and 1:
Following the schools behaviour management policy effectively
Promoting independence with life skills
Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
Be available for work Monday to Friday
Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with ourselves)
A full checkable work history
