    Graduate / Consultant Surveyor - Development and Strategic Advisory Location: Leeds

    We have a great opportunity for someone in the early stages of their career to join our Development & Strategic Advisory team as a Graduate Development Surveyor. The role will cover Yorkshire and North East Development team and you will be based in the Leeds office.

    Our Development team is part of the national Development and Strategic Advisory business and advises clients in the public and private sectors on a wide range of development advisory mandates, focused on regeneration projects in a mixed use development context. Joining as a Graduate Surveyor you will support the team's work, predominantly across the North of England.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Carrying out research of both residential and commercial sectors of the property market to inform market reports and wider insight
    • Contributing to property feasibility studies to assess and shape the deliverability of development, regeneration and repurposing projects
    • Producing development appraisals and viability reports to inform development and delivery strategies, to determine grant funding requirements or to inform planning viability matters
    • Assisting in the preparation and review of business cases for public sector investment in property led business cases, including option analysis and economic impact assessment
    • Providing commercial input into masterplans for sites and areas and writing delivery/implementation strategies covering matters such as land assembly, planning, disposal and procurement

      Knowledge & Experience:
      • A highly motivated individual with a keen interest in developing a career in the Planning and Development pathway of RICS
      • Demonstrable progression towards qualification as a Chartered Surveyor and membership of RICS
      • An undergraduate degree with a minimum grade of 2:1
      • Undergraduate or post graduate course in property / real estate
      • Excellent report writing, analytical and numerical skills
