    Veterinary Surgeon
    London Road Veterinary Centre, Kings Lynn
    Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience plus a relocation allowance up to £5,000

    Here at London Road Veterinary Centre, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our well-established and enthusiastic team.

    The position is primarily based in King's Lynn, at our main practice - London Road Veterinary Centre, with one day per week consulting at our branch surgery - The Hollies, which is based in Downham Market.

    We operate an 'open door' policy, ensuring you receive all the support you need from our Lead Veterinary Surgeon, Practice Director, experienced vet team and our well-established nurse and client care teams.

    You will have clinical freedom and access to a varied caseload with both surgical and medical cases.

    Our vets usually work 4 days a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.There are no out-of-hours requirements for this role and you will be a part of a fair weekend rota of 1 in 4 weekends.

    We are happy to accept both full and part-time applicants for this role.

    We are a two-site small animal practice, with our Downham Market branch surgery being a consultation-only practice, both are RCVS accredited.

    Our London Road practice has been established since the 1930's and has evolved over the years with the changing pace of veterinary medicine to offer a modern service with a well-established reputation and loyal client base.

    Our team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons work closely alongside our well-established nursing team which consists of 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse and 2 Patient Care Assistants.

    Among our 5 vets we have an Advanced Practitioner in Cardiology, a Medicine Certificate holder, an acupuncture qualification, a vet with an interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, and a vet undertaking a Certificate in Oncology.

    We see a wide variety of first opinion small animal cases, and the different interests and skills in our team allow you to be supported to work up cases with other team members.

    We actively encourage and support our clinical teams to further their knowledge and channel their passion towards a chosen topic and we are happy to fully fund any post-graduate studies for the right candidate.

    We have a wide range of diagnostic and surgical equipment.

    We are a silver ISFM accredited practice with a strong emphasis on patient care and a Fear Free approach for all our patients.

    We also have a longstanding history of providing treatments and care for RAF Marham's Military Working Dogs in which we take great pride.
