    **Position Overview**

    We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic leader to join our dedicated team as Deputy Headteacher on a maternity cover (temporary contract) basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator with strong leadership skills to make a significant impact on the continued success and development of our school. A secondment would be considered.

    **Key Responsibilities**

    Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school, contributing to the overall vision and direction.

    Provide effective leadership and management of staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement.

    Lead on specific areas of school development, such as curriculum planning, assessment, pupil progress, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and behaviour.

    Play a key role in maintaining a positive school ethos, promoting the values of care – learn – forgive among pupils, staff, and parents.

    Assist in the day-to-day operational management of the school, including staff deployment, timetabling, and resource allocation.

    Support the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all members of the school community.

    Foster positive relationships with parents, carers, external stakeholders, and the wider community to promote partnership and engagement.

    **Requirements**

    Qualified teacher status (QTS).

    Proven experience in a leadership role within a primary school setting, with a track record of successful school improvement initiatives.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others.

    Strong understanding of current educational policies, practices, and curriculum frameworks.

    Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.

    Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead by example, demonstrating integrity, resilience, and a positive attitude.

    Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced school environment.
