The Education Network is looking to recruit Support Assistant to work across our partnership schools based in Newcastle and wider areas.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Support Assistant who is committed to enhancing the education of children within a classroom.

The successful applicant will have prior experience working with children (within the last 2 years) which is an essential requirement for this role.

Some of the expected duties for this role would be as follows:

Inspiring your students to exceed their potential.
Providing assistance and motivation to students in their academic pursuits.
Fostering communication skills in children.
Assisting children in comprehending directions.
Creating an environment where students feel selfassured and at ease.
Engaging in reading activities with children, including listening to them read, reading to them, and sharing stories.
Providing specialized care for vulnerable children, including attending to their physical needs and hygiene.

If the role of Support Assistant interests you, and you meet the following requirements then we would love to hear from you.
Previous experience working with children (within the last 2 years)

Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities
Have a flexible and friendly approach
Be committed to providing engaging and exciting learning opportunities
Have a DBS on the update service or be prepared to request one via ourselves.
