Management Accountant

Are you a fully qualified accountant? Do you have experience working within the world of manufacturing? Do you have strong presentation skills and stakeholder management? Are you an intermediate Excel user?

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the production life cycle including inventory and variance analysis, keeping a close eye on ongoing performance, and providing proactive commercial insight.
  • Control the production module within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (our ERP system) including set up of new items, Bill of Materials, routes, and costings.
  • Identify, challenge, and proactively satisfy internal customer requirements to build a service that enhances effective delivery of site performance.
  • Prepare key financial information to drive insight supporting the management team in advance of weekly/monthly meetings.
  • Extract and analyze data to support the production of weekly management accounts.
  • Review and improve current processes to ensure strong controls and efficient monthend close.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legislative frameworks.
  • Communicate effectively and build relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

Education and Experience:

  • Professional qualification required: CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a must.
  • IT proficiency with experience of working with an ERP system and advanced level Excel.
  • Ability to identify and improve financial processes and resolve issues.
  • Proactive, driven, resilient, and able to work independently.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • A team player able to work effectively across the business.
  • Analytical thinker and logical problem solver.
