This is a key role assisting the Head of Marketing to develop and implement the marketing strategy for
Wrekin College and Old Hall School.

You will need a good understanding of both marketing and digital marketing strategy and tools, a creative and literary flair and a good working knowledge of skills, excellent attention to detail, and be confident in developing positive working relationships with key stakeholders.

A confident multitasker, you will be highly organised and able to work on your own initiative.

Previous experience in a marketing environment would be beneficial.

To assist the Head of Marketing in the development and implementation of the marketing strategy for Wrekin College and Old Hall School.


  • LEVEL OF POSITION
The Marketing Officer reports directly to the Head of Marketing who will be responsible for day

  • JOB PROFILE


Wrekin Old Hall Trust is seeking a Marketing Officer to work as a key member of the Marketing team, interacting with a large number of people within the School including pupils, teaching and support staff, as well as the team itself.

This broad role requires a wide range of skills and an energetic, creative, open-minded and innovative approach. The role is varied, with a range of responsibilities and will suit someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

the schools through a variety of means. Good communication and literacy skills are key requirements for the post holder.

In conjunction with the Head of Marketing the post holder will be expected to demonstrate the ability to research efficiently, make recommendations and implement strategies to support the strategic marketing direction of the School.


A good understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS), and digital trends will be vital to ensure that the school website can be updated efficiently and that social media engagement is high, and the post holder would be expected to work closely with the Head of Marketing to make recommendations on updating and improving the schools' websites and social media channels.


The role requires excellent organisation and time management skills, and the ability to work within a team environment and under pressure.

A proactive and flexible approach is essential.


  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
:


The Marketing Coordinator will assist in the development and implementation of the marketing strategy for Wrekin College and Old Hall School.

A key part of the role is to support and develop communications with key stakeholders in a variety of ways.


Key responsibilities:


  • Assist the Head of Marketing to implement the marketing and communications strategy for both schools.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including school staff, governors, alumni, prospective parents and feeder schools). Work with the Governor responsible for Marketing and the Trust Marketing Committee.
  • Maintain, develop and improve all schoolassociated websites, social media accounts and other digital marketing resources including appearance, navigation, content management, distribution and strategy across all platforms. Monitor social media and website engagement rates to produce regular and reports for the Head of Marketing. Monitor new digital advertising trends.
  • Create, run and analyse success of PPC and other digital advertising campaigns. o Drive social media and digital engagement, both organic and paidfor, to maintain and enhance the Trust's digital presence.
  • Design, produce and distribute marketing and other communication materials, both print and filmbased, either inhouse using Adobe design software or managing external agents/suppliers where necessary.
  • Play an active role in photography and film, either inhouse and/or with external agencies
  • Be aware of and comply with all Data Protection regulations o Work with external PR agencies to ensure accurate and timely copy and accompanying photographic images.
  • Organise and attend events and exhibitions (including Open Days and evenings at both schools for prospective families)
  • Assist in the production of regular management reports on all aspects of the school's marketing programme (including website analytics and RS Admissions analysis)
  • Build excellent working relationships with teaching and support staff, parents and pupils.
  • Seek out and write news stories for website, social media and other marketing material.
Construct, write and proofread marketing communications materials including regular newsletters, eNewsletters, magazines and other marketing material.

  • Undertake market/marketing research
