Fabrication / Pipe Fitter - Alloa - Permanent - £16.00 p/hr (£24.00 O/T)

Our team of engineers work on UK, European & International engineering projects.


Our core business model is not restricted to but continues to support the glass industry through the installation, maintenance & decommissioning of mechanical services and specialist machinery.

The business works closely with the majority of the UK's major glass manufacturing plants and in more recent years has expanded operations into Europe and further afield internationally, operating out of Asia, North America and South America.


Job description


We are looking to recruit experienced time served Mechanical Maintenance Engineers/Pipefitters to work on a wide range of engineering projects.

If you're looking for a 9-5 engineering role, this may not be suitable.

Our team of engineers can work long hours each week and from time to time in some uncomfortable conditions also working in high temperatures - you will, however, be well remunerated for your work.


We also carry out engineering projects across Europe and travel could be required, which can result in time away from home.

Experience Required

  • The installation, decommissioning and maintenance of various types of mechanical machinery.
  • Mechanical assembly.
  • Machinery movement.
  • Interpreting technical drawings, schematics and other computer generated reports to carry out projects / jobs in accordance with them.
  • The installation of various sized ductwork for extraction / ventilation.
Along with the following aspects of preferred pipework preparation and installations

  • Inspecting the workplace, clearing obstructions and preparing materials and equipment.
  • Pipe preparation for welding.
  • Threaded / Victaulic / Mapress / Crimp Fittings pipework
  • Swagelok experience
  • Manual bending of small bore stainless steel tubing.
You will be part of a close-knit, friendly, hard-working and growing team.

Our standard working hours are; Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Overtime will be required and is paid after you standard 8 hour day, you may also be asked to work Saturday and Sunday from time to time

  • Hourly Rate £16.00 per hour
  • Overtime Rate £24.00 per hour (Paid after standard 8 hour per day)


You will be required to drive yourself to site, however if you need to travel for work purposes vehicles area available to use.
