Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Experienced Social Worker within the Adult Learning Disability Team to work full time based in Swindon.
The salary for this permanent Experienced Social Worker job is up to £45,459 per annum.
As a Social Worker, you will join us in Adult Social Care in a friendly, supportive and dynamic team, bringing a particular interest in and focus on Adult Safeguarding.
This role will see you closely with the residents of Swindon and their families as well as a number of professionals including health, provider services, safeguarding and mental health colleagues.
The Adult Social Care Teams support adults living in Swindon and you will be responsible for completing Care Act Assessments and proportionate support living.
You will follow the care management process of reviews, completing Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decisions.As a Social Worker in the Learning Disability Team, your role will often require joint working with the Specialist Health Service for people with learning disabilities, to provide a multi-disciplinary, strength-based approach.
As well as managing a caseload, from time to time you may be required to support the duty team by providing back up cover on the team rota.
To provide statutory support to adults with care and support needs and their carers/families, which includes information and advice, assessment, support planning and safeguarding.
To undertake person-centred social work with individuals and to plan for the provision of support and/or services with them in order to assist them to meet their outcomes and to live as independently as possible.
To fully engage and prepare for own supervision and appraisal through self-evaluation, ensuring that continual professional development is evidenced.
Social work qualification with registration with Social Work England.Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others.
Experience of community and/or group work.
Knowledge of children's health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
