The Client:


Brewster Partners are excited to be working with a fast growing group of companies who are based in Halifax centre.

We are seeking an Accountant who can take responsibility for a number of small accounts within the group to help with workload over a busyperiod.

This role will initially be for 6 months but there is an opportunity for this post to become permanent.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately/short notice and to be able to go into the office 5 days a week.


The Role:


  • Preparing accounts and tax returns for companies within the group
  • Auditing financial information
  • Production of monthly reports & schedules
  • Processing all payments, invoices, income and receipts
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
  • Other ad hoc finance related work as requested

The Individual:


  • Bookkeeping or Accounts Experience (minimum of 2 years), with general accounting knowledge and understanding of best practice.
  • Qualified (CIMA/ACCA) or Qualified by experience
  • Advanced level on Excel
  • V Look ups/Pivot Tables
  • Able to take ownership the role and responsibilities
  • To be proactive in all aspects of the job
