Due to incredible growth our client, a leading engineering company in the water and marine sector are looking to hire a Group Manager of Engineering, Technology & Innovation to join their team and drive their thriving equipment and technology business forward.
This is a senior management role within the group which will incorperate regular travel between Manchester and Oxfordshire.Mechanical Engineering Degree qualified
Experience in a Mechanical Engineering Leadership role with P&L responsibilities
Project Management experience (preferably on multi-million £ projects)
Full UK driving Licence
Experience working in an industry that operates within extreme environments / conditions such as maritime, marine research, space or similar industries

Car Allowance
The division develops various mechanical, engineering, and control elements systems such as simulated wave systems, passive absorbers, instrumentation and remote platforms.
You will be fully responsible for P&L of the Equipment and Technology group and for future expansion of our client's Equipment Sales business to allow it to foster, develop and capitalise new, innovative technologies within the framework of our client's strategy.
You will also work daily to enhance and modernise the techniques employed, increasing focus on instrument innovation across the entire water sector.
Responsible for business planning for the group with P&L*Undertake the preparation of ET&I business plan through effective communication with Operations Director, Chief Finance Officer and BD Director
*Appropriate resources management to projects/proposals and other activities with the requisite technical and/or management/administration skills
*Staff engagement and development including Career Conversations, mentoring, training, welfare and development needs within the group
*Project Delivery
*Accountable for technical and financial performance of all projects within group
*Strategic project director/ management roles as appropriate taking on client facing technical and commercial role.
BD and bidding
*Responsible for commercial and technical content, timely preparation and submission of group proposals.
Innovation and Leadership
*Co-ordination with senior technical staff across our clients business to ensure emerging R&D needs are met
*Support and address liaison with national and international research agencies and private sector investment, identifying and where appropriate securing greater partnership
*Assess opportunities to invest in innovation start-ups.
