Working directly to the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) and part of the divisional Senior Management Team the Head of Product will provide strategic leadership to our newly established Digital Product Branch.

As part of the Chief Digital Office's evolving operating model, this senior leadership role will take charge of the digital design patterns for all 14 live Benefits and cross-cutting services.

The responsibilities encompass live service support, continuous improvement, and maintaining the digital roadmap, in addition to closely collaborating with Policy colleagues to ensure digital changes align with legislation and Ministerial ambition.

  • Salary between £ £84858 plus a £5000 annual Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) pay supplement after a 3 month qualifying period. This supplement is backdated and paid with your monthly salary.

Hybrid Working
We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum of 2 days per week in your assigned location. Base office location can be in either Dundee or Glasgow.

Responsibilities:


  • C
oach and lead teams in Agile and Lean practices, determining the right approach for the project.

  • Innovate and build consensus with stakeholders for proposed approaches.
  • Act as an expert advocate, continuously reflecting on team work and challenging for process improvement.
  • Identify and implement solutions for assisted digital and required DDaT roles.
  • Develop and iterate Agile business cases throughout the product life cycle. Develop benefits within the portfolio.
  • Recognise appropriate deliverables, engage with stakeholders, and keep abreast of industry best practice.
  • Act as an escalation point for operational issues and champion operational management.
  • Work closely with leaders of operational delivery teams in digital, data, and technology.
  • Anticipate and articulate problems, building problemsolving capabilities in others.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of tools and concepts for product delivery and adapt them to distinct phases.
  • Develop longterm vision and objectives, and capability of others, providing direction on tools and methods.
