    Description

    Role Description

  • Functional ownership of the capital management processes, including internal and regulatory reporting, analysis, controls, and the production of plans/forecasts and the Society's ICAAP. Ensuring that key stakeholders, including the regulator and Board, are adequately engaged with the firm's capital position and that processes are constantly being upgraded to befit the expectations of a Category 1 institution.
  • Role Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of capital management processes, especially the ICAAP, within a banking institution
  • Ability to functionally own all aspects of capital reporting including; Pillar 3 disclosures and Basel 3.1; COREP; related aspects of the ARA and interim disclosures; internal reporting and MI
  • Ability to functionally own all aspects of capital related regulatory requirements including; interpretation and implementation of relevant capital regulation and regulatory development horizon scanning
  • Good knowledge of broader Balance Sheet Management discipline including capital, market, and liquidity risk management
  • Excellent understanding of efficient process and control embedding and management
  • Ability to convert high level strategy and goals into operational plans
  • Ability to work with autonomy and make operational decisions
  • Experience of managing delivery of organisational change
  • Ability to oversee the management of budgets and resources
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance, corporate governance, quality assurance and risk management
