    Description

    An experienced GoLang & Kubernetes Lead Engineer is needed to join our team at Qumulus Technologies, a dynamic cloud solutions startup based in Manchester on a full-time basis.

    The role is office-based, with modern facilities within the Salford Innovation Forum.

    We are embarking on an exciting project to develop a hosted Kubernetes service with a focus on a hosted control plane and software-defined storage, all built on open-source technology.

    We are proud recipients of the UK Innovation Smart Grant, enabling us to build a talented founding team of 9 developers tasked with creating a robust Internal Developer Portal utilising Kubernetes and a suite of cutting-edge open-source tools.

    Lead the development and deployment of our managed Kubernetes-based infrastructure service
    Integrate a variety of open-source tools to optimise performance and user experience
    Manage the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance
    Maintain documentation of configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures
    You possess deep expertise in Go / Golang and have a solid background as a senior software engineer
    You are skilled in open-source and cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    You take full ownership of projects and are adept at driving them from start to finish
    Previous experience with Python is advantageous but not required
