Walsall Council is seeking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic Alternative Provision Keyworker to support vulnerable pupils in Alternative Provision to achieve the best possible educational outcomes and life chances.


This is an exciting time to join Walsall Children Services as we undergo transformational changes in the ways we work together and raise outcomes for young people.

The Alternative Provision (AP) Keyworker role will positively support pupils accessing Alternative Provisions by effectively identifying appropriate placements and ensuring they receive a quality education best suited to their needs.


AP Keyworkers support vulnerable pupils, often with complex needs, during their transitions in and out of Alternative Provision and ensure they access the right support at the right time.

The role is fast-paced and challenging, therefore applicants need to be able to
quickly adapt to new circumstances and juggle multiple daily tasks and deadlines.

Please note that a full driving licence is required for this role.
