Salary:
£27,852 - £29,439 FTE (£24,064 - £25,435 pro rata)


We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised Librarian to join our growing team here at Brunts Academy

The role:


The Librarian will be a prominent, visible presence within the academy and will forge strong relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and the wider community.

Being able to run the organisational and operational side of the Library, whilst also helping to creating and lead a strategic vision for the Library is an integral part of the role.

You will lead on the management, development and promotion of the Library and reading for pleasure across the Academy, ensuring that an effective resource and information service is provided to all pupils and staff.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • At least 1 years' experience of working in a library
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office and databases.

Desirable, but not essential, criteria are**:

  • Experience of working in an educational setting
  • Librarian qualification
  • Experience of reading schemes
