Job Description

We are currently looking for an Azure Data Platforms Engineer on a contract basis (OSIR35) for a global retail organisation. The project will to deliver a foundational data platform to enhance data-driven decision-making and performance analytics.They will play an important role in designing, implementing, and managing the data infrastructure and data integration processes using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Lake Storage.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with solution/data architect to design and implement scalable, secure data infrastructure using Azure services.
• Develop and optimise data integration processes using Azure Data Factory.
• Configure and manage Azure services in alignment with architectural standards.
• Implement data security measures, including Azure Active Directory integration and role-based access control.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency through quality checks, cleansing routines, and transformations.
• Facilitate smooth data flow for the company dashboards working with BI developers.
• Contribute to data infrastructure design considering potential integrations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and support teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for long-term maintenance and support.

Skills/Experience required:

• Proficiency in Azure services, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Strong understanding of data integration processes and tools.
• Knowledge of data security measures, including Azure Active Directory integration and data encryption.
• Ability to implement data quality checks and transformations using Azure Data Factory.
• Collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including solution/data architect/s.
• Ability to align with architectural standards.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure data infrastructure.
• Good documentation and communication skills
