Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a delivery manager to be accountable for the performance of the team / Initiative. In this role you will build and maintain teams, ensuring that they are motivated, collaborating and working well.

It is the responsibility of the DeliveryManager to ensure that change is achieved in a controlled manner through the delivery assurance framework.


It's an exciting time to join Hargreaves Lansdown as we embark on a digital transformation journey, we have several delivery manager opportunities to join various value streams, including CRM, System of Record, Data and Analytics, Digital journeys.

You willbe required to have experience throughout the entire lifecycle.


Role Accountabilities

  • Leading the delivery efforts of autonomous teams towards their delivery goals
  • Drive high performance within the team and squads
  • Accountable for delivery, and the traversing of the change through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Manage the team through the phases of deliver, performing the servant leader approach to team management
  • Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to define a viable delivery plan for the initiative(s)
  • Create and drive the management of the plan
  • Define the Roles and Responsibilities of the team and wider stakeholders.
  • Leading and coaching a multidisciplinary team by continuously assessing team's approach
  • Support the Agile coach in adapting the ways of working to maximise efficiencies.
  • Ensure adherence to the delivery assurance and related SDLC and IT Development frameworks
  • Be an advocate for the delivery assurance and related control frameworks within the team.
  • Challenge the status quo and use data to drive enhanced outcomes.
  • Responsible for initiative artefacts (Raid / Plan / Decisions / Jira / Retro's )
  • Support teams by encouraging them to improve their knowledge through shared learning and community activities
  • Share knowledge with other delivery Managers to help drive the continuous improvement agenda for the delivery function.
  • Be active participant to the Delivery function helping to drive best practice
  • Coach and mentor colleagues to aid development
  • Support the drive to build long term capability leading to transparency and trust

About you

  • Demonstrable experience of working and leading teams in an Agile environment
  • Significant client facing experience, with a track record of successful delivery
  • Experience in working with central backlogs and clear prioritisation
  • Experience of delivery in a software engineering environment within a continuous integration/delivery (CICD) environment
  • Experience in working with cross functional product teams
  • Significant experience in communicating technical information to nontechnical Stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience in using data to drive decisions, then using data to demonstrate success of the decision made.
  • Experience in successfully driving deliveries through the delivery lifecycle within constraints and within the risk appetite.
  • Knowledgeable about different agile methodologies, and their relevance to different situations. Be able to influence the teams in their adoption of said methodology
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary agile teams though coaching, mentoring and collaboration to attain a delivery focus on outcomes.
  • Experience of project related problem solving within a complex business environment
  • Demonstrable experience of influencing stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Experience of working across different disciplines
  • Experience in backlog creation, alignment, and delivery
  • Ability to coach individuals

Working Schedule
Hybrid working - A flexible working pattern with an expectation of a few days a month in the office.
