Permanent Role - Full time


Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant, or Assistant Accountant to join a company based in Sheriff Hutton, near York.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant reporting requirements
  • Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Review and approve cash disbursements
  • Full understanding of accounting processes and be able to assist accounting operations at a transactional level
  • Report to the Accounting Supervisor and work to improve financial processes
  • Support ad hoc accounting or reporting tasks

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or relevant field
  • 3+ years accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP accounting
  • Comfortable working with large ERPs
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications / Skills

  • International accounting experience
  • Experience with SAP Business One
  • Qualified ACCA or finalist preferred
