We're looking for a TAR Construction & Contracts Lead
to join the INEOS Acetyls team. We need highly motivated individuals who want to be part of our growing business.

The opportunity


As the TAR Construction & Contracts Lead you will support the TAR Manager by leading the suite of Contracts/3rd Party Vendors in the TAR prep and execute phases to ensure safe and efficient delivery of TAR events.

The role leads a team of TAR Construction Specialists (Area Leads) to plan, estimate the TAR schedule to achieve FEL prep milestones and to prepare the TAR event facilities & construction areas.

You will have significant influence on Business safety, costs, and reliability performance.

The role forms part of a multi-disciplined Team accountable for developing and implementing TARs for INEOS Acetyls delivering safety & compliance, reliability, availability & growth in line with the approved TAR business Objectives.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop and propose a Contract Strategy for all TARs with the TAR Manager, Asset Support Manager & Procurement teams.
  • Coordinate contracts during the preparation and execute phase of TARs, to achieve delivery to safety, duration, reliability and costs targets.
  • Work closely with the Cost and Contract Assurance Lead, other Cost Engineers and the Procurement team, to ensure operational aspect of contract management/performance are included as part of the establishment phase.
  • Work with the TAR Manager to define standards and resource requirements for contract TAR execution teams.
  • Agree supporting performance targets and measurement principles against which contract service providers performance can be held accountable to.
  • Develop fully defined, planned and priced work specifications where this is required by the contracting strategy for each package.
  • Work with Procurement to assess and make recommendations to senior management regarding contract service offers.
  • Coordinate the team of TAR Team Area Leads/Specialists to ensure JTD, task list composition and hours estimation is undertaken in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure all SHE requirements are put in place in a timely manner.
  • Support TAR stakeholder management activities through early engagement, expectation alignment, performance management and progress monitoring and reporting progress to ensure the TAR is delivered to the objectives.
  • Accountable for establishing and managing logistics associated with TARs and associated site projects.
  • Assure contractor competency management processes are in place and effective.
  • Work with relevant Project Teams/Area Leads and Major Mechanical Contractor(s) to develop a single "master" turnaround execution schedule and ensure optimal resources are available to complete the work in a safe and efficient manne
