We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Spatial Analysis of Multiplex Immunohistochemistry Images of Murine Pathology to work with Professor Simon Leedham at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, Nuffield Department of Medicine and visiting worker rights in the Oxford University Mathematics department under Professor Helen Byrne.

You will be responsible for managing your own academic research and administrative activities.

You will prepare working theories and analyse qualitative and/or quantitative data from a variety of sources, reviewing and refining theories as appropriate.

This job also involves developing ideas for generating research income, and present detailed research proposals to senior researchers.


It is essential that you hold a PhD (or close to completion) in mathematics, statistics, data science or a related discipline and possess sufficient specialist knowledge of network science, statistics, topological data analysis and/or data science to analyse and interpret high-dimensional data.

Having experience of programming in C++ or a similar language is essential, and you will be able to work independently and pursue research as part of an interdisciplinary team.


This position is offered full time on a fixed term contract until 1 July 2025 and is funded by the Medical Research Council Mouse Cancer Network.
