    We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Advisor/E-Content Developer to join our dynamic Health & Safety Team on a 1-year contract, working across all 3 sites of The RCA. This is a hybrid role (3 days office/2 days home but flexible in line with business demands) and can be discussed at interview.

    Role Overview:
    As a Health and Safety Advisor/E-Content Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) e-learning training program for the College. You will work closely with the Health & Safety Manager and subject matter experts to create engaging and informative e-learning courses for our staff and students.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement e-learning courses in line with relevant laws, regulations, and standards for workplace safety.
  • Compile training materials catering to various learning styles and engage with staff across all levels of the College.
  • Lead safety training modules, hands-on demonstrations, and verify/testing e-learning systems.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning objectives, target audience, and resources for each training course.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the training program using various tools and provide feedback to trainees and line management.
  • Maintain records of training activities, outcomes, and compliance.
  • Liaise with departments such as IT, Digital Delivery, and People & Culture regarding the creation of learning materials.
  • Provide additional support to advise academic staff and students on risk assessment for studio and exhibition projects.
  • Stay updated with current legislation and health and safety best practices.
  • Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant HSW qualification (e.g. NEBOSH National General Certificate, NCRQ Diploma, NVQ/SVQ Diploma Level 5).
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practices.
  • Experience in developing and delivering health and safety training programs.
  • Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate) and digital learning platforms (e.g., Moodle).
  • Strong problem-solving skills in HSW across technical disciplines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
