With 40 years' experience in Freight and logistics we are expanding our team to recruit a Remote Customer Service Agent to support our blue-chip client base with the freight transport of goods either within the UK or Overseas.

This will be a full timerole, working remotely, and will require a background in transport and logistics.

The benefits include:


  • Salary: £22-£30,000 depending on skills and experience

Holiday: 33 days


Working hours:
Full time Remoteworking: Mobile / Laptop provided


Pension: 4% contributory pension

The role of the Transport / LogisticsCustomer Service Agent will:

  • Co-ordinate the efficient transport in terms of service and profit via road, air and sea freight operations
  • Dealing with various subcontractors for each mode of transport
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure that customer expectations are met during the movement of cargo, you will manage the relationships with hauliers and day to day shipments
  • Obtain competitive rates for customers by liaising with our suppliers
  • Process bookings received from customers efficiently and ensure they are arranged correctly with suppliers and all relevant paperwork, bills of lading and utilise European Groupage.
  • Investigate any complications which may arise in relation to the transport of cargo


The ideal Transport / Logistics Advisor will possess: An in-depth knowledge of transport and logistics gained from previous road freight industry experience.


  • Experience in customs clearance both European and International is desirable.
  • Experience and import / export paperwork, bills of lading and European Groupage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills together with computer literacy and good levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • Selfmotivation, able to work on your own remotely.
