    ICT Buyer/ Supplier Manager

    Location: Lancashire (1 day per week in the office)

    Rate: £260 per day

    Cameron Kennedy is working with a local authority who are seeking an ICT Buyer/Supplier Manager to join their team.

    Job Purpose:

    They are looking for an experienced Buyer specializing in ICT to support the Digital Procurement team in meeting the County Council's Digital requirements. The role involves managing strategic ICT supplier relationships to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and quality products/services aligned with the County Council's priorities. Public sector sourcing experience is advantageous.

    Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

    • sourcing activities for ICT requirements, ensuring effective, compliant routes to market and managing the end-to-end sourcing process.
    • routes to market for strategic requirements and support the development of IT service management plans.
    • governance compliance for all supplier management activities.
    • supplier relationship and quality management activities, addressing any issues promptly.
    • prioritize, and mitigate risks with strategic ICT suppliers.
    • and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
    • advice and guidance on supplier issues to service and project managers.
    • any other duties necessary to achieve post objectives.
    • addition to the described skills, knowledge, and experience, you may be required to undertake lower graded roles as appropriate.

    Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

    • experience in sourcing and managing ICT suppliers, ideally CIPS level 4 qualified or working towards it.
    • to build relationships and influence at all levels.
