Infrastructure Engineer - (Active Directory, Escalation, LAN/WAN, Networking, O365, VMware, Server, Stakeholder Management, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Network Troubleshooting) – Permanent – Leicester

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis for our national business based in Leicester. Location: Leicester

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Experience in a similar role previously
• Strong experience of dealing with escalations from the 1st/2nd Line Service Desk teams
• Extensive Active Directory
• Experience of Windows Server
• Experience of O365
• Strong Network troubleshooting experience around; LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP Networking experience around DNS/DHCP
• Virtualization experience either Hyper-V or VMware is highly desirable.

Start date is ASAP for the Infrastructure Engineer

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

• Providing escalation support for the 1st/2nd Line teams, finding out the root cause of problems
• Ensuring strong Stakeholder management with internal customers
• Maintaining and Improving existing infrastructure by consistent checks and reviews
• Maintaining the Microsoft Server Estate
• Providing Network troubleshooting support on a day to day basis
• Managing changes to network switches and Firewalls
• Maintaining the IT Landscape around Windows Server & Office 365
