Homes & Communities Housing Officer - Central Birmingham

£27, per annum (plus car allowance)

37.5 hours per week


About the role
The Homes and Communities Department is currently recruiting to a Housing Officer role.

This role is patch-based, and you will work closely with the Income Officer for the patch and your wider Homes and Communities colleagues.

Our Housing Officers work positively with residents from their first point of engagement at property viewing and occupancy sign up stage through to delivering quality housing and estate services, tenancy audits, settling in visits and well-being checks
- their on-going engagement and responsive service delivery empowers and supports residents to not only meet their tenancy obligations but also to be active within the organisation and their communities.


The role requires collaborative working across all departments within Trident Group including Allocations and Lettings, Income Management, Technical Services, Lead Worker services and Community Safety and Inclusion to ensure that we deliver a quality service to our customers, maintain our properties and estates, and deliver value for money services.


About You

  • You will have a minimum of two years' experience of a working in the housing sector.
  • It is essential that you have good communication skills and a 'can do' approach to working positively with our residents/customers, internal and external stakeholders and forging new partnerships to address key issues and achieve agreed outcomes
  • You will be able to work under your own initiative, organising your workload to meet goals and KPIs that are set.
  • You will have attended relevant training opportunities and be keen to attend more as part of your own personal development journey.
  • The post is full time and involves a regular presence across a designated patch, the role qualifies for essential car user allowance.
