BAFTA is seeking a new Production Assistant to join their busy Awards & Content team

Job purpose
BAFTA is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hard-working Production Assistant to support the Content team.

The role is a fixed term position and will be working across filming and production of BAFTA's award ceremonies and additional content filming throughout the duration of the contract.


The individual we are looking for needs to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be a clear and concise communicator and have an interest in production, with a keen eye for detail.

They will need to be motivated and eager to learn.

The role will require working across all of our award ceremonies and supporting the Production team.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities


Assist the Production Coordinator and Production Manager on all required administration and paperwork, such as call sheets, and release forms.

Assist Production Manager with raising and issuing of POs and tracking of invoices
Manage meetings, calendars and Zoom invites for all internal and external meetings.
Book talent and crew transport and accommodation for Awards where necessary
Liaise with crew to gather any accreditation details, and dietary details for Awards OBs and VT Shoots
Work on site at across the awards and any associated shoots
Responsible for general office duties and admin within the Team
Support BAFTA's sustainability goals and champion our sustainability policy and oversee Albert Certification


Ideally you will have
A practical understanding of Microsoft word and operating systems
Knowledge of basic production paperwork i.e. Call Sheets, Release Forms
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organisational skills and time management
Experience of live production
Keen eye for detail and a capable proof reader
Experience of working to tight deadlines
Flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work within a versatile and dynamic team environment


Ideally you will be
Passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about live production
Flexible with working styles and able to work across different projects at the same time
Interested in a career in production management
Confident and keen to learn new skills and software to support the production management team accordingly
willing to work unusual hours where advised by the Production Manager as necessary
Thrive when working in the office as part of a team but also be confident at working remotely
Driven to produce excellent work
Have an interest in sustainability and limiting the impact productions have on the environment
