- Teach across areas within the curriculum.
- Take responsibility for the progress of a class.
- Organize the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
- Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
- Maintain discipline within the class utilizing the school's Behavior Policy.
- Ensure that pupils are safe and that all child protection and safeguarding measures are followed in accordance with school and national policies.
- Provide feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings.
- Co-ordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum and support colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
- Provide a detailed handover of work completed and progress in class if working daily.
- Work with other teachers, teaching assistants and other relevant professionals to plan and co-ordinate work and liaise with colleagues and work flexibly.
- Meet with other professionals, such as education welfare officers and educational psychologists, if required.
- Provide detailed regular feedback on pupils' achievement, progress and misunderstandings etc.
- Promote good pupil behavior, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with the established policy and Establish constructive relationships with parents and carers.
- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health and safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
- Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals, to support achievement and progress of pupils
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor's degree in education or relevant subject area.
- Proven experience teaching primary students, preferably in a UK school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and effective teaching pedagogies.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student needs.
- Positive attitude, resilience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students
