    Job Description

    The Strategic Projects team is a sub-team of Product, responsible, amongst other things, for all aspects of product strategy & development and ongoing product management of L&G's private markets funds and products, working across a range of alternative investment capabilities across business divisions including Real Estate, Private Credit, Infrastructure, Venture Capital and Private Equity. Their purpose is to design, deliver and manage a client-centric offering, enable achievement of L&G's overall commercial strategy, and to ensure L&G's product activity is in line with regulatory standards and internal Product Process.

    The role holder will be a developing technical expert managing, with necessary support and oversight, the ongoing product management of a range of private markets funds. Amongst other things, the activities supported by the role include fund amendments, marketing registrations and ongoing product reviews.     The role holder will work closely with Investments, Distribution and other teams such as Risk, Compliance and Operations, supporting the Product Principal, Real Assets in developing product management plans for private markets, and supporting the maintenance of a robust product offering in conjunction with asset class and vehicle leads within Product. The role holder will also assist with market intelligence and customer insights feeding into product strategy and design.

    In this role, there is an expectation that the individual will present at product governance committees, LGIM committees and LGIM or fund boards from time to time.

    Qualifications
  • Degree qualified or equivalent required
  • Strong knowledge of the international asset management industry
  • A good understanding of private markets regulation (in particular AIFMD) and strong technical knowledge of pooled private markets product structures across a range of domiciles and jurisdictions including UK and Luxembourg
  • Experience in private markets product strategy, development and management
  • Product life cycle management
  • Experience in senior stakeholder engagement; ability to influence and engage across key stakeholders
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail and seeks continual improvement and efficiency in delivery of processes
