Unitrust Protection Services (UK) Ltd have an exciting opportunity available for a Security Officer to join our team.

The role:

Working within this prestigious environment at London.

Your primary role is to ensure the security of people, premises and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout.

You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well drilled security operation.


What will you be doing?

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
  • Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client
  • Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
  • Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated
  • Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional and respectful
  • To support internal and external audit processes from UniTrust Security representatives, Client/Tenant Representatives, the SIA, any other relevant body with a relevant interest and valid reason for inspection or compliance checks
  • To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant and ethical manner
  • To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach at all times
  • Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people and challenges
  • Assist in the induction, development or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate
  • Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and our Code of Conduct

Security Officer Responsibilities:


  • Welcome and assist staff, clients, tenants and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey
  • Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site
  • Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating where appropriate to do so
  • Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and able to assist staff, clients, tenants and visitors with their queries
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff, visitors, tenants, service providers and clients
  • Have good knowledge of the local area to be able to answer queries regarding local transport links or services in the area for example.

Desirable Skills:


  • Exposure to relevant Protective Security or Counter Terrorism Advice
  • Previous experience of the security industry and / or within the hospitality sector or corporate environment with a view to obtaining an SIA licence if not already held.
  • Previous experience in technologies to detect security threats in any given environment

What we are looking for.

  • Officers must have at least 2 years Security experience.
  • Valid SIA Licence
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Carry and be capable or using all security equipment necessary to efficiently perform the duties required of a professional security officer.
  • Good IT skills is essential. Previous experience using a visitor management system is preferable.

  • Can do attitude with a focus on a 5* customer service.
  • Good, clear communication skills essential.
  • Confident English speaking.
  • The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping.
  • Ongoing continuation security training will be provided and Security staff will be expected to attend training course, selfdevelopment will be expected.
  • First aid qualification is desired, but not essential, as training can be provided by company
