Job Title:
Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning


Location:
Oxford


Assistant DTL's main duties are:

  • Development of academic programmes and teacher training programmes from start to finish (in HE setting) (online and offline)
  • Exploring and contracting tutors and speakers for specific topics
  • Working closely with the Director of Teaching and Learning with the coordination and servicing of the Academic team
  • Working independently or/and joint with other team members to develop and deliver the complete portfolio of client's new projects initiatives
  • Maintaining and Development relationships with partners and networks in liaison with Director of Teaching and Learning and Director of Marketing
  • Maintaining and development of programme regulations and promotional materials
  • General programme administration

Salary:

£ £33000 depending on experience


Essential:


  • Strong administrative and project management experience
  • Strong commitment to studentcentred approaches in learning and teaching
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, prioritising work and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills, Database management
  • Attention to detail and recordkeeping
  • Proactive and 'cando' attitude
  • Ability to prioritise competitive tasks in fastpaced environment
  • Customerfocused approach
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Clear interpersonal and communication skills
  • Min. 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Master's degree (or BA degree + significant experience)

Desirable:


  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Experience working with international clients
  • Good understanding of teacher training, Students Mental Health and Counselling, academic writing in Higher Education context
  • Experience working with training programmes in international organizations
  • Good knowledge of Oxbridge system and tutorial teaching
  • Marketing experience
