    Description
    The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team. Hours:
    Days, afternoons or nights.

    Pay Rate:
    Days: £14.75 / Afternoons: £15.40 / Nights: £16.15 per hour PAYE.

    Location:
    Barnsley, S74.

    Job Type:
    Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

    The role:
    • Safely and efficiently operate Class 1 vehicles to transport parcels from depot to depot across the UK.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
    • Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
    • Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.

    Requirements:
    • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
    • Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
    • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
    • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
    • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
    • Excellent communication skills.
