Do you want to be part of the UK's most extensive traffic light management team with a nationwide depot network as a Regional Operative?


Your responsibilities


As a Regional Operative, you will be installing, repairing, and removing temporary traffic lights whilst working to the highest level of Health and Safety standards.

This is a role that requires a lot of physical work.


This job role requires you to be away 1 week out of 3, for 3 weeks you will be working in the depot based in Lincoln.

While you are working in different depots across the region you won't be required to do any weekend work. The cost of hotels is provided by the client and a staying overnight bonus is offered.


Your responsibilities include:


  • Being part of a team that delivers, sets up, and then collects across the area.
  • Maintaining and servicing all the traffic light equipment.
  • You will also be involved with the repairs and battery exchanges (23kg per battery, a good gym workout) onsite and offsite.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed to the company's standards and abide by the company's rules and regulations, including COSHH, Health and Safety, and quality assurance.

Experience and qualifications

A full UK driving license is essential (B&E would be an advantage) as you will have a small company van/truck to enable you to do your work, this can be taken home at night and therefore a safe place to park is essential

  • A previous role in maintaining or operating temporary traffic systems would also be an advantage but not essential as we can train you.
  • A previous electrical background would also be beneficial. However, full training is provided.
  • The training is split into
    five levels and is linked to pay

About You


For this job, you must have good organisational skills as you work towards deadlines, and they need to be met at a fast and ever-changing pace.

In addition, you must be adaptable as the job involves traveling to places across your area and further afield with possible overnight stays to meet business needs.

Overtime and rotational on-call cover are involved with the position.


Salary


The starting salary for this role is £22,000 during induction this can be increased following successful training modules to £24,500.

There are also further opportunities to increase your salary with overtime and on-call.
