    Description

    To plan, deliver, and assess Apprentice training programmes within the subject area ofEngineering and to assist in the marketing and development of sector specific Apprentice programmes to industry.

    To demonstrate commitment to company Policies including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity and Quality improvement.
    Carry out training needs analysis for firms in relation to Apprenticeship & other training programmes.

    To draw up Individual and Group Learning Plans & to co-ordinate and lead on initial skills assessment for Apprenticeship and other training programmes.

    To liaise with staff in the planning, delivery and assessment of the agreed training plan and to monitor progress of apprentices and groups of apprentices.

    Assess & review apprentices/trainees in accordance with interna/external requirements in Engineering.
    To be responsible for overseeing and reporting on performance of the learner journey

    To lead on quality assurance and quality improvements for apprenticeship & other programmes within the curriculum area, including liaison with awarding organisations & implementing quality improvement actions.

    Deliver teaching & learning sessions as needed by the needs of Apprenticeship/other training programmes.

    To deliver up to 170 hours teaching and training sessions in support of apprenticeship/curriculum related activities in Electrical Engineering .

    To assist the Business Development Manager in the promotion of such programmes.
    Undertake monitoring, evaluation & assessment procedures to support the progress of student learning.

    To maintain effective relationships between academic and support staff and provide a communication link between employers and department managers.

    To undertake 30 hours (pro-rata) continual professional development.
    Qualifications/ Training -

    5 GCSE's (A-C) including English and Mathematics or equivalent Level 2 qualifications or be able to achieve with support within a set timescale (Essential).

    Level 3 Qualification in a related vocational area (Essential).
    Teaching or Training experience (Essential).
    Experience of planning training for individuals and/or employers (Desirable).
    Health and Safety Risk Assessments (Desirable).
    Understanding of education/training programmes including apprenticeships (Essential).
    Experience of training & assessing (Essential).
    Experience of events/promotions (Desirable).
