Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Broadcast Engineer with a specialization in Outside Broadcast to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in broadcast engineering, with expertise in IP, Nimbra, MPEG videos, and compression technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, and contribute to the delivery of world-class broadcast content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain outside broadcast systems for live events, ensuring seamless operation and high-quality transmission.
• Develop and implement IP-based broadcast workflows, including network configuration, routing, and troubleshooting.
• Configure and optimize Nimbra platforms for efficient video transport over IP networks, maximizing reliability and performance.
• Encode and decode MPEG video streams, utilizing compression techniques to minimize bandwidth usage while preserving video quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate broadcast systems with production workflows and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during live broadcasts, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on broadcast operations and recommending strategic investments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer, with a focus on outside broadcast operations.
• In-depth knowledge of IP networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including VLANs, QoS, and multicast.
• Familiarity with Nimbra platforms and their application in broadcast environments.
• Strong understanding of MPEG video encoding/decoding and compression algorithms.
• Experience with broadcast automation systems, signal processing equipment, and audio/video codecs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams across multiple disciplines.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development, with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.
