Humanities Teacher

Pay ranges between £600 and £1200 per week, depending on experience and qualifications.

Connex Education is collaborating with the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic MAT One of their Secondary Schools (St Thomas More Catholic Voluntary Academy) requires a Religious Education Teacher to start immediately.

This role will be temporary for 10 weeks with a view for the candidate to move into a permanent postion.

The primary responsibilities of a Religious Education Teacher include:

• Preparing lessons and teaching materials.
• Assessing students' progress and marking their work.
• Managing classroom behaviour.
• Discussing students' progress with parents and carers.
• Organising study trips, social activities, and sports events.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Be able to teach KS3 and KS4 Religious Studies (RE).
• Possess strong classroom management abilities.
• Be confident in handling challenging behaviour.
• Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to provide a new one.

We also welcome applications from candidates who:

• Are ECT/NQT.
• Are Overseas Trained Teachers (OTTs).
• Have 2+ years of experience teaching in Secondary Schools.
• Are RE or History Subject Specialists.
