    Field Service Engineer/Technician | Newcastle | Full Time| 25 days holiday + bank holidays | £26,000 - £30,000 + overtime and shift allowance where applicable

    For more than 40 years our client has designed and manufactured digital displays for use in a wide range of markets. From advertising displays in cinemas, stations and retail stores, to information displays at airports, railway stations and on-board trains and buses. Their UK business is a part of a worldwide group, with over 1000 employees in more than 10 countries.

    Primarily Field Based, you will be principally involved in servicing, inspecting and repairing their customer's digital advertising assets across the midlands and offering occasional support to other UK regions.

    Please note that the role is primarily daytime working, but some evenings and nights will be required on occasions as some sites can only be accessed outside of normal business hours. A shift allowance rate will be paid for any evenings or nights worked. To facilitate the role the successful candidate will be provided with a company van and all necessary product training, tooling and peripherals.

    The following requirements are essential for this role

    • Logical and systematic approach
    • Ability to fault find unfamiliar equipment
    • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in electrical/electronic/IT systems and software
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Able to work under own initiative
    • Good awareness of health and safety
    • The ability to follow risk assessments, and method statements
    • Full UK driving licence
    • Must be comfortable with significant driving distances
    • Normal service region cover will extend as far south as Sheffield – as far north as Edinburgh

    What will your role as a Field Service Engineer/Technician look like?

    • Investigating and repairing hardware and technical faults on client's assets/sites as reported
    • Carrying out first-line remote IT and technical support as required to assist the main Service Team
    • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visits on all assets
    • Reporting clearly and effectively on all visits made using our online field service software
    • Managing and planning your own workload, keeping up with emails and service requests
    • Support installations and other project work as required
    • Ensure all work is carried out safely following company Health and Safety policies and procedures
    • Electrical safety tests (Specific training will be provided for this task
